1. 1. Initiate evaluation of both common symptom complexes and medical conditions encountered in primary care and hospital practice, utilizing evidence-based and state-of-the-art approaches
2. 2. Institute or modify management of selected important conditions seen in the general adult population, employing up-to-date and cost-effective strategies
3. 3. Recognize when specialty referral is indicated for certain medical conditions and have a basic understanding of the anticipated care to be provided by the consultant
4. 4. Counsel patients more effectively regarding the benefits, risks, and uncertainties in challenging clinical scenarios, such as initiating hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests received in writing no less than 30 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellation requests received within 30 days or for registration fees of less than $50.  Please send cancellation requests [email protected].

 

UVA Health Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel CE activities if necessary.  In this case, the entire registration fee will be refunded.  All other expenses incurred in conjunction with this CE activity are the sole responsibility of the participant.

The University of Virginia invites your support for The 50th Edward W. Hook, Jr. MD, Recent Advances in Clinical Medicine Conference. This event is a multidisciplinary, interprofessional, continuing education conference designed to provide primary care clinicians with the knowledge and skills needed to practice state-of-the-art generalist medicine.

Expected Audience: 175 (compromised of MD, PA, NP, RN, other healthcare professionals)

 The exhibit fee is $1000 for one 6’ table for one day of your choosing and $2,000 for two and $3000 for all three days, 2 company representatives max per organization. Exhibits will be in the prefunction area. Display times are 7:00 AM through session adjournment. Exhibitors may join us for breakfast and snacks. Free parking and Wi-Fi are provided. Exhibitors MUST wear a company name badge at all times.
