2025 UVA Aortic Symposium

This symposium highlights current trends, issues, and emerging therapies in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery for patients with aortic disease. Healthcare professionals providing care to patients with aortic disease will gain and extend knowledge in order to improve care delivery and outcomes for this patient population in both specialized settings as well as across the care continuum. Diagnosis and treatment paradigms for aortic and structural heart diseases, including medical, endovascular, surgical, and hybrid options, will be presented.

1. Identify patient groups at increased risk for developing aortic pathology.
2. Apply the correct diagnostic and surgical techniques on the appropriate aortic pathology.
3. Choose the appropriate imaging technique to identify aortic pathologies.
4. Discuss current trends of aortic surgery.
5. Apply current practice guidelines when planning medical management and surgical interventions for patients with aortic disease.
6. Discuss the effect of genetics and family history on risk of aortic disease.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests received in writing no less than 30 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellation requests received within 30 days or for registration fees of less than $50.  Please send cancellation requests [email protected].

UVA Health Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel CE activities if necessary.  In this case, the entire registration fee will be refunded.  All other expenses incurred in conjunction with this CE activity are the sole responsibility of the participant.
