Overview
This one-day symposium is designed to equip Nurse Practitioners with the latest pharmacologic knowledge across a range of complex and evolving clinical topics. This year’s course covers high-impact areas including dermatologic treatments, HIV PrEP, depression and bipolar disorder management, rheumatology biologics, neurocognitive disorders, and cosmetic pharmacology. Attendees will learn to recognize common prescribing errors, apply current treatment guidelines, and improve medication safety and effectiveness. Through expert-led presentations and real-world case insights, this course helps providers enhance clinical decision-making and deliver better outcomes for diverse patient populations.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify the common prescribing mistakes amongst new providers
  2. Identify new treatments in dermatology for those with chronic skin conditions
  3. Describe new prevention medications for HIV
  4. Differentiate between depression, bipolar disorder, and bipolar depression, and accurately identify appropriate pharmacologic treatment plans for each condition.
