Overview
Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) was previously considered to be a rare disease that was primarily treated in multidisciplinary clinics at academic centers, but over the last few decades, it has been increasingly diagnosed and managed by community providers. Moreover, there are now effective FDA-approved therapies for this disease, which further facilitates the management of EoE at the community level. This event will offer an update on recent advances in the diagnosis and management of EoE, including a discussion of the updated guidelines (published in January 2025). A core component of this conference is to facilitate the generation of a network of EoE providers across the State of Virginia who can collaborate in caring for patients with EoE.

  3. Facilitate a collaborative network of EoE providers in the State of Virginia to improve the care of patients.
